When did you know this is what you wanted to do?
I knew I wanted to teach the moment I stepped into my daughter’s preschool classroom, which was 35 years ago.
What is your experience with preschool?
I taught a Pre-K class for about 5 years prior to coming to HCS Elementary.
After spending so many years in elementary, what made you transition to the preschool level?
It was not an easy decision but after much prayer I felt God wanted me to reach more families and this community. I also want to be a help to the teachers and staff here in preparing the students for Kindergarten.
Why do you think Christian education, especially at such a young age, is so important?
We are building a spiritual foundation that will last them a lifetime. Plus, we have the opportunity to integrate Biblical truth into everything we teach.
What are you most excited about this upcoming year?
Reaching a whole new community of parents and children and adding my own personal touch to the West Campus.
What is your favorite thing about Heritage Christian School?
I can’t think of a godlier place to work. The staff and all the families that love Jesus make Heritage a wonderful place.
What is one piece of wisdom you can share with parents?
Put God first in every decision you make, especially for your child. Plus, it’s never too early to start teaching your children a reverence for Christ, a respect for authority and others and a responsibility for their personal actions and words.
